Officers

Henry "Chip" Carlson, III, President
Chip began with the company as a carpenter apprentice in the late 1970s. He joined the company's management team in 1982 after receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Chip is now president of the company and remains active in the Company's day-to-day project-related business.

Mike Bates, Vice President of Operations
Mike manages the estimating and project management team and oversees all general operations for the company. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from South Dakota School of Mines & Technology, a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Michigan, as well as a Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Michigan. Mike is a registered professional engineer in the State of South Dakota.

Chris Peters, Vice President of Finance
A Certified Public Accountant with 13 years of public accounting experience, Chris is involved with all aspects of the day-to-day management of Henry Carlson. He is a graduate of the University of South Dakota.

Meredith Larson, Vice President of Pre-Construction Services 
Meredith assists the Owner in completing the design and pre-construction phases of the project with his 35 years of experience in the design field. He received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from North Dakota State University and is a registered architect in North Dakota and Arizona, and a LEED-accredited professional.

Sue Harms, Treasurer
Sue received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Augustana College. She is the Controller for the Company, as well as a Certified Public Accountant. Sue has been employed with the company since 2004.

Pam Cox, Secretary
Pam received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Northern State University. She has served in many roles with the company since 1994.
