At Henry Carlson Company, safety is considered one of the most important aspects of any project.  We are very proud of our safety record.

Safety not only applies to our employees, but everyone in and around the project. Our full-time risk manager is dedicated to protecting the safety of every jobsite.

Pre-planning/training meetings are held before each stage of work begins in order to make sure all personnel are trained in the operation, practices, methods and equipment that will be used.

On every job, documentation of training is maintained and enforcement policies are in place as a part of all subcontracts issued. Superintendents perform daily safety inspections, hold weekly safety meetings with all trades, and hold monthly all-trades safety meetings to make sure everyone is functioning as a unit and to identify concerns observed during project construction.

Our safety program continues to improve. We are proud to be the first Gold Member in South Dakota as part of the OSHA/AGC Construction Health and Safety Excellence (CHASE) Program.
